fashion feature friday {vol.11}

we are back with our fashion features! today i'm featuring fashion blogger amy from amy flying a kite, who i was pleasantly surprised to find recently. i like just about every ensemble that she pieces together. when reading her responses to the interview, i found myself saying "me tooo!!" quite a lot! she really is a girl after my own (vintage) heart! she pulls off very unique outfits that not everyone can, and makes it look easy. i'll let the pictures and the interview speak for themselves. don't forget to check out her blog, too!

1. How would you describe your style?  I would describe my style as the dainty girl who mixes fabrics and mingles through nature's colors. I want to reflect on the outside what I strive to be on the inside.  Feminine, and pretty, with hints of flower pollen.

2. Who/what is your biggest style influence? My biggest style influence is my closet. When I see clothes, I transform. I become somebody else.  The fabrics, the colors, and the shapes,  inspire me to create the outfits you see on my blog.  Also,  1970's photographs, the framework of high waisted bell bottoms- dancing with flower petal blouses. The 1970's were a time of beauty.. Truly..

3. What 3 items do you wear often?  Faux fur, always.  Seldom, do I walk without wearing my furs.  My black floppy hat,  it adds mysticism to my outfit, and keeps poor hair days at shore.  Lastly, but the most important of all, tights. When the western wind blows, I want my legs to feel warm.

4. What is your favorite kind of shoe?  Think big chunky wedges. Always dressed in the color of tree trunks.

5. How do you piece together your outfits?  I make a mess of my room. Throwing, dashing, pinching.   It's kind of like magic, really.  I just piece random cloth together- and suddenly, an outfit is formed.

6. What are your favorite places to shop?  Vintage stores, and thrift stores.  Their smelly fibers make me feel at home.  {ivelisse: my thoughts exactly}

7. Favorite beauty products?   Liquid black eye liner, glitter, and baby pink lipstick. 

8. If you could give one piece of style advice, what would it be?
  Wear what scares you. If you feel "too dressed up" then you've done your job. Don't let anyone tell you how to dress, not even me.

9. Favorite fashionable movie? Hello Penny Lane! Hello Almost Famous! The furs, the hats, the bell bottoms. Oh it's all so dreamy..

10.  Tell us 3 random things about yourself…  I like video games, mostly role playing ones, where I fight off zombies or something fierce.  I'm addicted to bubble gum, or so my family tells me.  I'm a home schooooooooooooler.

i am so happy it's friday, you guys! to be honest, i am ready for today to be over already. i have a huge midterm due by tonight, and it's the only thing i can think about. i'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend with my little family. i hope you have a lovely weekend.
