study break.

February 12, 2011

this semester is quite the busy one for me. i'm taking 4 online classes. when i was living in florida, i was accustomed to attending class live. having moved to atlanta, i was forced to move to online classes. i'm still getting used to the tediousness involved, and must say that i seem to learn better when i have face-to-face instruction.

so, this week, or weekend better said, has been pretty hectic with school. i have a huge project due monday, which i submitted early. yay! i had a bunch of catching up to do, which i think i have accomplished. lastly, i have a midterm to take on monday that i have been studying for. i really dislike this class, i might add. i guess the only good thing about having a midterm is that it gives me the hope that i am halfway through another semester. that much closer to obtaining my master's in speech language pathology. i finish in may of next year. with school, parenting, buying and selling furniture (i'll explain soon), house wife duties, and now blogging, ha....i'm a pretty busy girl.

well, earlier today, i decided to get out for a little. to get away from the computer, books, discussion boards, projects. away from school! i went with my lovies to a really neat side of town called Little 5 Points. it was my first time visiting. my supervisor for my clinical practicum recommended that i go there, since i disclosed my love of vintage to her. thanks, mandy! it has an array of indie shops, vintage shops (over-priced, in my opinion), street vendors, outdoor casual dining. just a fun place. i really enjoyed it, but i'm not sure if my husband was entirely thrilled. the weather was absolutely delicious.

here are the pictures of our outing and what we wore :)

jules is wearing babyGap from head to toe, minus the handmade crochet headband that i picked up at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago. i guess that means shoulder to toe. lol

i wore:
wool fedora - urban outfitters
vintage earrings - handed down to me
vintage faux pearl necklace - thrifted
turtle neck - gap
vintage oversized brooks brothers cardigan - thrifted
vintage plaid a-line skirt - thrifted
vintage louis vuitton purse - thrifted
mustard tights - can't remember...target?
vintage loafers - thrifted
lunch at Little 5 Points Pizza, yum!
sorry ladies, he's taken :)

came back home. made & ate a home-cooked meal.
and now back to doing this for the rest of the night. tomorrow. and part of monday...
womp, womp, womp :(

wish me luck!
